DESCRIPTION:

Study covers history of drawing and painting software while introducing students to the practice of programming their own interactive tools. Students design and build expressive, idiosyncratic processes to automate repetitive tasks, reinforce formal invention, and encourage spontaneous expression in pictures. Previous programming experience recommended. Demos and lectures based in open web technology.
