Due to our remote learning situation and the in-person inaccessibility of DMA labs, the department is offering some remote production services to students during the Fall 2020 quarter. While these remote services are not a replacement for in-person use of the lab facilities, we hope that the remote production services will provide an alternative and/or augmentation to screen-based projects and learning. These services are available until November 25th.

Israel and Jonathan will be producing the following types of projects:

  • Laser printing : up to tabloid size.
  • Inkjet printing : up to 24″ x 36″.
  • Binding : up to 11″ x 17″ sheet size.
  • 3D printing : up to 150mm in any direction.
  • Laser cutting : up to 11″x 14″.
  • CNC milling : up to 11″ x 14″.

Projects are submitted by email, and completed in the Fab Lab or Print Lab, and mailed directly to the students. These services will be provided at no cost to the students. A full list of process specifications and details for submitting jobs can be found on the DMA Support site:

If you have a course assignment that requires the use of one our services, please contact Jonathan or Israel ahead of time to ensure that class projects can be completed as scheduled. As much advance notice as possible is requested to ensure we can meet your desired timeline.

If you have questions about laser printing, inkjet printing or binding, please contact Israel Gutierrez. If you have questions about 3D printing, laser cutting or CNC milling, please contact Jonathan Cecil.
