Even after 15 years, I must admit that I still love what I do. Graphic design is like one of those infinite Russian dolls that you can open and keep discovering something new. As technologies change, I always try to dig a little deeper to see what new and exciting tools and designs are out there. Because of my infinite passion for design, this has never seemed like work.
Prior to moving to the US, I studied at the Ecole Romande des Arts Graphiques of Lausanne, Switzerland and in 1995 received a degree in graphic design, illustration, and video. This was all in the pre-computers era, when designers had their hands sticking with glue and some Letraset at the end of the day… After a few years of work, I moved to Los Angeles in 1998, and was fortunate to spend 3 years at Imaginary Forces under the mentorship of Kyle Cooper. My motion graphics works during that period were recognized and awarded by the AIGA, The Art Director Club, and the AICP associations.
In 2001 I started working for Propelo Inc., a consulting company for visual communication, ranging from print to animation. Propelo’s clients included Apple, Sony, Target, American Airlines, Janus Mutual Funds, Target, Dolby Sound System, Sundance channel, AMC, IFC, HBO, and more. I recently started freelancing and I am currently working on projects with local and global clients.
Please take a moment to review my client list and see some of the sample work posted on this site. My years of experience and list of resources can easily be tailored for any type of project that a company may be pursuing. I believe that good and smart design helps companies do better business.
I currently work and reside in Santa Monica, CA with my amazing wife.
