COURSE DESCRIPTION |
This class will consist of three design projects to be built in three dimensions; 1/2” scale. The length of time spent on each project will be determined by the progress the class makes in solving the problems of stage design: exits entrances, masking, moving of set pieces in conjunction with the libretto or book and last, the interpretation of the works themselves. The three works are “L'Enfant et las Sortilege”, “Elektra” and “The Magic Flute”.
The grade will be determined by attendance (20%), quality of design (60%) and class participation (20%).
