Drawing & Color

UCLA Design Media Arts, Winter 2018

Drawing + Color will bridge the gap between traditional drawing and color theory and contemporary digital art tools. Students will learn different traditional drawing and coloring techniques and how to recreate, enhance and augment them through digital tools like Adobe Illustrator.

Through a series of weekly assignments and three projects the class will cover drawing and coloring from nature and imagination.

Class time will be used to conduct workshops, student work reviews and investigate the theoretical and practical implications of the interplay of lines, textures, patterns and colors.
