DESCRIPTION:

Exploration of augmented reality, virtual reality, and motion capture technologies as unified field for representing other realities in live performance context. Traditional techniques for theater and musical performance are reframed with these new technologies, and merged into form called mixed reality theater. Study set up as experimental studio. Students collaborate as theatrical troupe, working on individual or group projects for live public audience presentation, held in EDA multimedia space. Primary focus is notions of narrative, worldbuilding, and embodiment in performative context.
